Tension along border, serenity at space!

Date:

India and Pakistan are at loggerheads over differences on various issues. But from space, it’s a complete different story. A photograph posted by NASA evokes a sense of serenity and peace.

NASA on Sunday shared a photo of the international border between India and Pakistan as seen from outer space on their Facebook page. The photo shows the winding border between Pakistan and India lit by security lights that have a distinct orange tone.

An astronaut aboard the International Space Station took this nighttime panorama while looking north across Pakistan’s Indus River valley.

According to NASA’s Earth Observatory website, the picture was taken using a Nikon D4 digital camera, fitted with a 28 millimetre lens, and was provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observations Facility and the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, Johnson Space Center. The image was taken by a member of the Expedition 45 crew, the website adds.
