Maroon 5 in talks for Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Date:

Pop rock band Maroon 5 is reportedly in advanced talks with National Football League (NFL) bosses about performing at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in 2016.

The band, fronted by Adam Levine, has had advanced discussions about taking to the stage at the NFL showpiece game, which will be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, next February.

The “Moves Like Jagger” hitmakers are not the only act in the mix to grab the prime performing slot at the football spectacle.

Other names in the frame include bands Coldplay, One Direction and singer Bruno Mars, who performed in 2014 at Super Bowl XLVIII.

Representatives for the NFL are yet to comment on the Maroon 5 talks.
