Judge ‘shakes off’ lawsuit against Taylor Swift

Date:

Washington DC: Finally there is relief for the singer Taylor Swift, as copyright lawsuit to her seems to have ended on a happy note as a judge dismissed it by invoking the star’s own lyrics.

Dismissing the case, United States District Court judge Gail Standish wrote, “At present, the Court is not saying that Braham can never, ever, ever get his case back in court. But for now, we have got problems, and the Court is not sure Braham can solve them,” reports.

“As currently drafted, the Complaint has a blank space-one that requires Braham to do more than write his name. And, upon consideration of the Court’s explanation. Braham may discover that mere pleading Band-Aids will not fix the bullet holes in his case. At least for the moment, Defendants have shaken off this lawsuit,” the Judge added.

Swift had been sued by a songstress, who alleged that the ‘Blank Space’ ‘hit-maker had taken lyrics from her song, titled “Haters Gone Hate,” in writing her hit “Shake It Off.”
