All Indians safe in Paris after terror attacks: Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday confirmed that all Indians living in Paris are safe after Friday night’s horrific terror strikes.

The deadly attack reportedly began in the French capital at a soccer stadium where a match was underway as explosions set off. Simultaneously, terrorists armed with AK-47s and bombs began attacking in different sites throughout the city.

A bloodbath was reported from the Bataclan concert hall where around 100 people were killed as terrorists opened fire for 15 minutes and even shot hostages at point blank range.

Including the massacre at the concert, around 127 people have been killed in different sites in the attacks.

According to reports, the attack sites are Bataclan concert venue, Le Carillon, Le Petit Cambodge, 20 rue Alibert, La Belle Equipe, Near Stade de France. Reports of gunfire were reported at least from one other site.

French President Francois Hollande has declared a state of emergency and ordered the borders to be closed while rallying military reinforcements.

He confirmed that 127 have been killed in the deadly series of attacks and asserted that it was ‘more necessary than ever’ to coordinate against terrorism.

In an attack that is being touted as the deadliest of its kind that Paris has faced since World War II which has left the nation reeling from grief, Hollande in a strong message earlier, swore to the country that he intends to take revenge on those who committed the ‘barbaric’ act.
