Gang of drug mafia busted, huge quantity of drugs recovered

An interstate gang of alleged drug traffickers was busted near here and huge quantity of drugs were recovered from their possession, police said today.

A Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sirmour police busted the gang by arresting four persons, besides recovering huge quantity of drugs from their possession near Nahan, the Superintendent of Police, Sirmour, Soumya Sambsivan, said here today.

SP said that the police laida trap and the SIU team intercepted two vehicles and arrested four residents of Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

The police also recovered huge quantity of drugs from the vehicles and impounded the cars, she said.

As many as333 bottles ofRexcof and Corex cough syrup, 6,912 capsules of Spasmo roxivon Plus and 950 tablets of sedative drug Carisom were recovered from the possession of the accused.

All arrested persons belongs to Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh and have been identified as Reiajul, Ritesh Kumar, Dinesh and Vinit Gujjar.

Two separate FIRs have been registered in connection with these cases, SP added.
