3 killed due to lightning strikes in Bihar

Bhagalpur/Kishanganj, Aug 16 (PTI) Three persons,including a minor, were killed when lightning struck them inin Bihar’s Bhagalpur and Kishanganj districts today. Two persons were killed in separate incidents oflightning in Bhagalpur district. Sultanganj Block Circle Officer Sridhar Pandey saidthat the deceased have been identified as Mithilesh Kumar(14), a resident of Abharatanpur village and Kundan Thakur(22), a resident of Deodha village. Lightning struck them when they were working in afield, he said, adding that the bodies have been sent toJawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital, Bhagalpur forpost-mortem. In another incident, 22-year-old Shahjahan was killed whenlightning struck him at Khushitola village of Kishanganjdistrict, Kishanganj Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Shafiquesaid. PTI COR AR SUSMRJ
