Bhaderwah observes partial bandh over unrest in Valley

Bhaderwah (JK), Aug 19 (PTI) A partial shutdown wasobserved in this town of Doda district in Jammu region todayin the wake of a protest call given by a religiousorganisation against Union and state governments’ handling ofthe ongoing unrest in Kashmir Valley. The shutdown call was given by Anjuman-e-IsalamiaBhaderwah "for not initiating talks to end the unrest in theValley". "People of Kashmir are going through the worst butsurprisingly a criminal silence is being maintained by bothUnion and state governments which is further aggravating theproblem, and the unrest is fast spreading to Chenab Valley andother parts of the Jammu province," President,Anjuman-e-Islamia, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh claimed. Some shops, business establishments and private schoolsremained closed though government schools, offices and banksfunctioned as normal with traffic plying on the roads asusual.
