Standard of newspaper editorial declined: Jharkhand minister

Date:

Ranchi, Aug 22 (PTI) Jharkhand Urban Development andHousing Minister C P Singh today lamented that the standard ofeditorial of a newspaper has declined. The standard of newspaper editorial in bygone days wasvery important as it was used to be written with a directionon development but now it has declined. Addressing ‘Clean India Foundation’s foundation dayand journal releasing ceremony, Singh, however, admitted thatthe media alerted the government on various issues. Talking in a lighter vein, Singh said no one talksstraight as nobody likes to listen to the truth and that waythe seat of a legislator comes under stress. Singh gave another light moment when he cited anexample as to how a scooter owner tried to dodge a trafficpoliceman after flouting rules saying he voted for a certainMLA. He urged the people cooperate with the government. PTIPVRNN
