Businessman robbed in south Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) A businessman was robbed by threeunidentified criminals who also thrashed him and withdrew moneythrough his ATM card in south Delhi, police said today. The incident took place last night when Jitender Negi wasreturning from Mahipalpur to his home in Vasant Kunj, policesaid. Negi’s SUV was hit by another vehicle from behind and ashe stopped, three men came out of the other vehicle andoverpowered him. For nearly next three hours he was held hostage in his ownvehicle by the trio who kept thrashing him. They also forced him to withdraw money through ATM cards,a police officer said. Other accomplices of the trio tailed the SUV in the othervehicle. Later, they left Negi with his vehicle near Shadipur busdepot around 2.30 AM, he said. A case has been registered in this connection at VasantKunj (south) police station, the officer added. PTI SLB VIT DIPSMNDIP
