4-yr-old girl raped on school campus in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Aug 26 (PTI) A four-year-old girl was rapedallegedly by the driver of her school van who lured her whileshe was playing on the campus at Gangapada area here. Police said today the driver lured away the child to theschool toilet yesterday and raped her there. The incident came to the light when the girl returned tohome and informed her mother about the it. "We have arrested the driver after the girl identifiedhim. A case has been registered at the Mahila Police Stationhere," commissioner of police Y B Khurania told reporters. The medical examination of both the victim and theaccused have been done, he added. The matter comes to light even as the state governmentfaces criticism over an incident in which a tribal man had tocarry the body of his wife for over 10 km after allegedlybeing denied a vehicle by the hospital authorities inKalahandi district.
