Egyptian Prez arrives tomorrow on a three day visit

New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) Egyptian President Abdel FattahAl-Sisi will arrive here tomorrow on a three-day visit duringwhich he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tostep up engagement in areas of security, counter-terrorism andtrade. With both India and Egypt grappling with terrorism, boththe leaders are expected to deliberate on ways to deal withthe menace effectively. Sisi will be accompanied by a high-level delegationcomprising of Ministers, top officials and businessleaders. He will hold wide-ranging talks with Prime Minister Modion Friday. Both sides are set to sign a number of MoUs afterthe talks. Sisi will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee and VicePresident Hamid Ansari. India and Egypt have a strong economic relationship. India is the sixth largest trading partner of Egypt –the second largest export destination. India’s imports fromEgypt were worth USD 1.74 billion during 2014-15. Indian businessmen have invested nearly USD 3 billion inabout 50 companies in Egypt and have given employmentopportunities to around 35,000 Egyptians. PTI MPB RGSK
