Four Indians in Forbes list of World’s most powerful women

Forbes released its annual list of world’s most influential 100 women for the year 2016. German Chancellor Angela Merkel tops the list, holding the title for the sixth year in a row. Angela Merkel is a former research scientist and has been the Chancellor of Germany since 2005.

Others, who made it to top 10, are Hillary Clinton, Janet Yellen, Melinda Gates, Mary Barra, Christine Lagarde, Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Wojcicki, Meg Whiteman and Ana Patricia Botin.

CEO of IBM, Ginni Rometty is in the 11th position, Followed by Park Geun-hye, Michelle Obama,  Indra Nooyi, Angela Ahrendts, Abigail Johnson, Tsai Ing-wen, Michelle Bachelet, Federica Mogherini and Safra Catz.

List also includes the name of four Indian women, Arundhati Bhattacharya (25^th Position), Chanda Kochhar (40^th Position), Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (77^th Position) and Shobhana Bhartia (93^rd Position).
