Central forces conduct flag march in Balasore district town

Balasore (Odisha), Sep 10 (PTI) The Odisha police andparamilitary forces today conducted a flag march in someareas of Soro municipality in Balasore district where Section144 CrPC was imposed following tension over immersion ofGanesh idol. The police said that when the immersion procession waspassing Pathan Mahalla in the Soro market area last night, analtercation took place between two groups of people followedby brick-batting. Seven people were injured in the clash. The situationwas brought to normal by police intervention, but tensionresurfaced today when a peace committee meeting was inprogress in the area. Three platoons of Rapid Action Force and other armedpolice forces have been deployed in the sensitive areas inSoro town. PTI CORR AAM MDKUNPD
