Kejriwal will be responsible if AAP MLAs disqualified:Sehrawat

Date:

New Delhi, Sep 10 (PTI) Rebel AAP MLA Devendra Sehrawathas shot off another letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying he will be held "responsible" if 21 party MLAsappointed as Parliamentary Secretaries lose their Assemblymembership in the wake of a Delhi High Court order. The fresh salvo from Sehrawat came as internal bickeringintensified in the party which is grappling with charges ofsleaze and misconduct by its leaders. Sehrawat alleged that Kejriwal, despite being "wellaware" of Supreme Court order whereby appointments of SoniaGandhi and Jaya Bachchan were held illegal, appointed them asParliamentary Secretaries on the "advice" of "advisors aroundhim like Ashish Talwar" who have "no knowledge" of suchthings. The Bijwasan MLA, who has fallen out of senior partyleaders, attacked the Aam Aadmi Chief and his "coterie" afterthe party’s Punjab AAP unit filed criminal defamation casesagainst him for accusing the state leaders of exploiting womenin return for tickets. The High Court in its order on August 8 had termed theappointments of 21 legislators as Parliamentary Secretaries bythe AAP government illegal as it was not sanctioned by the LtGovernor of Delhi. "The present situation is that these 21 MLAs are facingdanger of losing their (Assembly) membership and now it isyour responsibility as you have not only poised them to faceelections again but have also burdened people of Delhi with(possible) re-election," Sehrawat wrote in his letter. He also complained that his various letters to Kejriwalin the past, including one on "exploitation of women", hadreamined unanswered. Sehrawat also targeted AAP leader Ashish Khetan, whoheads Delhi Dialogue Commission, and demanded that Kejriwalscrap the body with "immediate effect" as it was a "whiteelephant". "Delhi Dialogue Commission had suspicious role in theproposal for Shuttle Bus Service… the Commission isbeing known as Delhi Dalal Commission," he wrote in hisletter. AAP’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh and NationalOrganisation Building Secretary Durgesh Pathak fileddefamation cases against Sehrawat and two other leaders HSKingra and Paviter Singh, in a court in Chandigarh yesterday.PTI VIT SBRRT
