Hyderabad techie allegedly killed his wife for leaving the geyser on

In a shocking incident, a woman in Hyderabad was found hanging at her residence on Sunday, after she texted her family that she had been beaten up by her husband for running the geyser for too long.

31-year-old Susrutha’s texted her father, which became her last text saying that her husband Mohan Rao had dragged her out of the washroom and physically assaulted her in the appearance of his parents and two sons aged six and four.

She later also talked to her Father on the call, saying that she had been beaten up badly as described by Her father Satyanarayana.

By the time her Father arrived her home in Hyderabad from Nalgonda, they were reported that their daughter had hung herself to death.

Susrutha’s parents told the police that she had expressed her humiliation on the phone and cried.

Her older son has told the police that his father had beaten his mother.
The police have arrested Mohan Rao and his parents.

Her Father described “Her husband Mohan asked her, why did you switch on the geyser…who do you think will pay the bill? ”

“She stated on the phone that she was dragged out of the bathroom, humiliated and kicked in front of her in-laws and children. She was murdered. There were injuries all over her body.” Her Father said.

The family has registered a complaint against her husband and in-laws, after which Susrutha’s body was taken to hospital for a post-mortem.

Susrutha’s uncle Madhusudan told the police that Susrutha’s husband and her in-laws had harassed her for years. “They were harassing her for dowry even after two children” he said.

Sattaiah, a police officer, said case have been registered with multiple charges including assisting suicide.
“The girl’s family suspects it is a case of murder. The father Satyanarayana has filed a complaint with us. We have detained the husband and family for further questioning.” Police said.
