MP’s start-up policy awaits cabinet nod

Bhopal, Sep 21 (PTI) Aiming to extend help to five lakhentrepreneurs every year, Madhya Pradesh has framed its ownstart-up policy and will soon table the same before the stateCabinet for approval. "Madhya Pradesh’s own start-up policy has been framed. Itwill be tabled before the Cabinet soon. It was informed in ameeting chaired by the State Chief Minister Shivraj SinghChouhan last evening to review the performance of variousdepartments including Industries," an official of the PublicRelation Department said today. "Necessary amendments are being made in land allotmentrules for small and micro industries. Help will be extended tofive lakh entrepreneurs for setting up their self-employmentevery year," the official said. The Chief Minister also issued instructions to make aneffective single window system and also instructed alldepartments to use it for facilitating investors, especiallybefore proposed Global Investors Summit at Indore next month. While reviewing performance of Micro and SmallIndustries Department, he said that promoting micro and smallindustries is the government’s priority because they providejobs to youths. He gave instructions to hold coordination meetings withbanks to remove difficulties in getting loan for youngentrepreneurs, the official said. Expressing displeasure over banks’ demand forguarantee for loan from young entrepreneurs, despite thegovernment providing the same, Chouhan said that this shouldbe brought to the knowledge of the Union Finance Minister, theofficial added.
