What to take from PM Modi’s national address, ‘Mann ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on September 26th in his ‘Mann ki baat’ address. He gave tribute to the martyred in Uri attack, while calling the attack a cowardice. “It is a hurtful incident for the nation, culprits wont be spared. I have firm belief in our security forces, we are proud of our military.” The PM said.

He reiterated stern resolve against terrorist activities, and said those responsible for it wont be spared. Yesterday at BJP convention in Kerela, he spoke vehemently against, the only one terror nation in South Asia.

He took the occasion to address the people of Jammu & Kashmir. And praised, that they have understood the anti national elements in the society, and have started moving towards peaceful society and growth.

He recalled a youth named Harshvardhan, who pledged to study for three more hours daily & be a good citizen, as he was disturbed by Uri attack.

He also congratulated Paralympic athletes for their excellent performance. “I will never forget the words of medal winner Deepa, who while receiving her medal said that she has defeated her disability”, PM said.

PM also praised and delightfully shared, the “world record on the soil of Navsari.”

Mr. Modi, talked about the sanitation campaign,”Swatch bharat Abhiyaan” to attract more people towards it. “Lets move towards the pledge of ‘open defecation free’ India”, PM pleaded the nation. While suggesting ideas, like ‘Waste to wealth’ and `waste to compose’. He also highlighted this year’s, special program Indian Sanitation Conference -`Indosan’, to be held between Sept. 25 & Oct. 2.

In all, the speech went from touching most of the issues of current importance, though still left out on a few important ones, like education, inflation, etc.
