The Air India flight from New Delhi to San Francisco is now the world’s longest non-stop flight route.
Earlier it was the second longest flight, after the Emirates Auckland to Dubai flight.
But earlier this month, Air India switched the direction of its flight to San Francisco, traversing the Pacific Ocean instead of the Atlantic Ocean, making it the longest trip with a total of 9,506 miles. This got it the title of ‘world’s longest flight’.
The distance has increased, but the time has decreased two hours, due to strong tailwinds, which helps it in moving faster.
