Bihar to start building worlds largest temple this Holi

Date:

Bihar will start constructing worlds largest Hindu temple over 165-acre land area in West Champaran district about 150 kilometers from capital Patna.

After clearing hurdles from Cambodia that alleged the temple blueprints to be the replica of Angkor Wat. “The hurdles are now dealt with and we modified our original plan after Cambodia raised objection against our Viraat Ramayan Mandir, saying it is a replica of Angkor Wat,” Acharya Kishore Kunal of the Patna-based Mahavir Mandir Trust told IANS.

We are set to start work after Holi, which will be an auspicious time,” he said.
The main attraction of this temple will be 405 feet high octangular spires which is 200 feet taller than Angkor wat. The temple complex will also hold the highest Shiva Linga which will 44 feet in height and 33 feet in circumference.

Kunal and the architecture team are looking forward to do other modifications if needed to commence construction. “As of now the modified blueprint sent to Cambodia government has not been objected and there are no further instructions from Cambodia Embassy. So the planning of construction has begun”. Said Kunal
