The 46-minute long clash with the Rio rival was nailbiting and seemed like a must-win for P V Sindhu after she lost her second Group-B match to Sun Yu of China.

We all lost a little heart when Indian shutter, P. V. Sindhu lost Gold at the Rio Games 2016 to the two-time world champion Carolina Marin. However, in a classic turn of tables, Olympic medallist Sindhu has finally avenged her loss and has muscled out Carolina Marin.

Sindhu squashed Carolina at BWF Super Series Final tournament, securing a place in the semi-finals. At the end of the third Group B match, the score board looked emphatic with 21-17, 21-13. She scored the victory over the Spaniard in the women’s singles category which was played yesterday in Dubai.
