Rahul Gandhi claims payoffs made to Modi

After days of dithering Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi made allegations against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi of alleged payoffs from industrial houses when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

IT Department raided Sahara Company on 22 Nov, 2014. The records says in six-months Sahara group gave money to then Chief Minister Narendra Modi 9nine times.

“6 mahine mein 9 baar Sahara ke logon ne apni diary mein likha hai ki humne Narendra Modi ji ko paisa diya hai,” Rahul Gandhi said.

“As per record with I-T Department,Rs 2.5 crore was given to PM Modi on 30 Oct 2013; Rs 5 crore on 12 Nov ’13;Rs 2.5 crore on 27 Nov ’13;Rs 5cr on 29 Nov 2013,” Rahul Gandhi said.

Entries showed Rs 5 crore given to PM Modi on 6 Dec 2013; Rs 5 crore on 19 Dec 2013; Rs 5 crore on 13 Jan 2014; Rs 5crore on 28 Jan 2014; Rs 5 crore 22 Feb 2014: Gandhi

The records are with IT Dept for last 2 and half years yet no action has been taken. An independent enquiry must be initiated: Rahul Gandhi
