5 IPS officers in CBI get promotion

New Delhi: Five officers of Indian Police Service (IPS) working in the CBI have been promoted to the Deputy Inspector General level.

The officers — Rakesh Rathi, Asif Jalal, Harshita Attaluri, Abhay Singh and Jose Mohan — are working as Superintendents of Police in the central probe agency.

The appointment of the IPS officers, who belong to the 2002 batch from different cadre states, to the rank of DIG in the CBI has been approved by the competent authority, an order issued recently by the Personnel Ministry said.
