Bhubaneswar railway station to be ready by May

Date:

Bhubaneswar: The Railway authorities on Friday set a target to complete the construction work of new Bhubaneswar railway station by May, 2017, officials said.

The target was set at a review meeting chaired by East Coast Railway General Manager Umesh Singh.

“The new Bhubaneswar railway station will be ready for commissioning by the end of May 2017,” Singh said.

During the meeting, the Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) authorities were advised to speed up their pending projects, they said.

Singh also expressed concern over the delay in some projects and said that all efforts should be made to finish the projects in time.

He also asked the RVNL to complete the construction of Haridaspur-Paradip line by June next year, officials said. PTI AAM
