After Deepika, Kangana performs Ganga Aarti in Varanasi!

New Delhi: It was only recently that actress Deepika Padukone was seen performing Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Holy river in Varanasi alongside her mother Ujjala Padukone.

Following footsteps of Deepika, is actress Kangana Ranaut, who reached the banks of River Ganga to invoke blessings in order to kickstart promotions of her upcoming film, ‘Manikarnika’.

While it was a personal trip that drew Deepika and her mother to the Holy site, Kangana was accompanied with a hoard of media persons to cover the eventful sight.

The actor is currently in Varanasi to unveil a 20-feet poster of the film at the Dasashwamedh Ghat.

Kangana visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers and seeking blessings for her upcoming movie ‘Manikarnika’.

Donning a golden saree, which she teamed with an orange brocade blouse and traditional jewellery, Kangana not only offered prayers but also took a dip in the holy waters of the Ganges and chanted “Har Har Mahadev”.

Directed by Krissh, the film will see Kangana playing the warrior queen, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi in a film titled ‘ Manikarnika– The Queen of Jhansi.’

The film will hit the theatres on April 27 next year.
