Muslims donate land for building temple in Bihar

Muslim family donated their land for building the main gate of  Bhatanakuti temple in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, presenting a good gesture of communal harmony. One other man also donated her land for the renovation of the same temple according to the reports.

Tabarak Dewan, a resident of Gopalganj donated his land near NH28, which he bought for 12 Lakhs for business purposes a few months back.

“Bhatanakuti temple is a historical temple in Bihar and we respect that, my land was needed to construct the new gate of the temple so I helped by donating my land for a good cause”, Dewan said.

“This is not the first time that a Muslim family has donated land for constructing temples. The ambitious project of Virat Ramayana Mandir in Kesariya, could not have been possible without the donation of lands from the Muslims and their contribution towards it”. Said Acharya Kishore Kunal, secretary of the Patna-based Mahavir Mandir Trust in an interview

Gopalganj has a history of donating lands for such purposes. Three decades back Hindu families donated their lands for the construction of Mazaar in the village.
