Meghalaya: Journey to the ‘abode of clouds’

Meghalaya, one of the seven sisters of the northeast India. The state of Meghalaya is mountainous and is the city of rivers. Meghalaya is the wettest place on the earth, if you are bored of your normal life and want to just chill, pick up your bags and get going:

1. Elephanta Falls

Elephant Falls is situated on the outskirts of the main city of Shillong. It is almost 12 km away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

2. Nohkalikai Falls

It is the tallest waterfall in India, it is located near Cherrapunji, one of the wettest place in India.

3. Umiam Lake

It’s located in the north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya.

4. Mawsmai Cave Road

It is the major tourist attraction in Cherrapunji, these limestone caves have the distinction of being the only caves in Meghalaya that are lit enough to enable tourists to enjoy the natural formations in awe.

5. Dhruba’s Dreamland Amusement Park
