Nearly half a dozen engineers were suspended by the Minister for Roads and Buildings Naeem Akhtar in Shopian district of Kashmir on Saturday. The authorities decided to take the decision after a video was circulated by a youth on WhatsApp.

The Minister Naeem Akhtar said, “I have placed concerned engineers under suspension after getting the evidence of their sloppy work”.
”We have started the process of blacklisting the engineers as well”, he added.
The Minister was shocked over the casual work which was shown in the video. In the video, Tar and Gravel were heaped separately for constructing the road and it was a highly irresponsible act by the engineers. They literally used a broom to clean the gravel and heaped Tar from the road.
