Delhi Police admits shortcomings in the Sunanda case investigation

The Police documents related to Sunanda murder case that has been accessed by the Republic TV which strongly suggests the discrepancy in the investigation by SIT (Special Investigation Team).

The Delhi Police notings from November 2016 mentions clearly that there are lapses in the investigation and more than 5 cops have admitted that there is a need of re-investigation for Sunanda Pushkar suicide case.

Various shortcomings noted by the police are as follows-

  • Mobile Phone and Laptop seized after a week of her death which was allegedly formatted with no data.
  • Eatables from the investigation scene collected after more than 10 days.
  • CCTV camera from the porch of Leela Palace Hotel was not operational for a specific span of time.

BJP MP Dr. Subramanium Swami has reacted to this expose by the Republic TV and he seeks to file a PIL in court to bring this case under CBI inquiry.
