Opportunity in every sector in India: PM Modi to investors at SPIEF 2017

While speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited international investors to invest in India as there is opportunity in every sector for success.

PM Modi made the statement while talking about the growing opportunities in the food processing sector and later reiterated the point to invite investments in the agricultural, industrial, and service sectors of India and to explore opportunities in these sectors.

The Indian Prime Minister emphasized India’s rise as a preferred investment destination owing to the a law code that is understandable and accessible for foreign companies and investors which provides security to their investments.

Additionally, the PM highlighted the youth of India as a talented resource that should be leveraged by global companies. PM Modi also stated that he aimed to create job creators rather than job seekers through the government’s Skill India initiative with an emphasis in creating ample employment emphasis.

The Prime Minister also drew attention towards the rising need for infrastructure development in India as the number of cities in India are expected to rise and need to be supported by a developed infrastructure. He highlighted India’s move towards modernization of the railways.

PM Modi also emphasised India’s path towards sustainable development with the government’s Zero Defect, Zero Effect policy for industries, which means industries that adhere to global standards and are at the same time environmental friendly. The PM stated that the present generation did not have the right to snatch what belongs to the next generation.
