A video allegedly showing voting fraud at one of the polling booths is doing the rounds on social media, claiming that the AIMIM workers rigging votes in Bahadurpura in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The video is shared with a caption: एमआईएम *बहादुरपुरा*हैदराबाद असुद्दुदीन ओवैसी का निर्वाचन क्षेत्र (तेलंगाना)का कृपया इसे वायरल करें ताकि चुनाव आयोग द्वारा पुनः चुनाव कराया जा सके (English translation: MIM Bahadurpura, Hyderabad constituency of Asaduddin Owaisi (Telangana). Please make this viral so that re-election can be conducted by the Election Commission.)

Performing a Reverse Image Search, the NM team traced the YouTube channel of TV9BanglaLive carrying the same video, dated February 27, 2022, with a description in Bangla: “Voting for Ward No. 33 of South Dum Dum Municipality is going on at Lakeview School. The agent himself stopped the voters and pressed the button on EVM. Watch that video.”
On the same day, another news report carried glimpses of the viral video, saying: “The video is from Booth No. 108, Ward No. 33, South Dum Dum. Here, it is seen that Trinamool workers have occupied the booth.”
The BJP and Congress state Twitter accounts also shared the viral video in February 2022, accusing the TMC of election fraud.
Moreover, the Chief Electoral Officer Telangana also refuted the claim on Twitter (Now X), saying: “An OLD video purportedly depicting rigging during Parliament elections in Telangana is being circulated on WhatsApp. The video is NOT from Telangana. For more facts, please go through the press note — CEO Telangana.”
