The death rate of patients in ambulances on their way to the hospitals are comparatively very high in India. The deaths occur mainly due to jammed roads making it impossible for the ambulance to reach the hospital on time.

Two youths from Kerala, Mohamed Jasim and Muhammed Sadique, have come up with an excellent concept of intelligent Road Traffic Management System to counter the problem of Ambulance getting stuck in traffic in big cities.
Their venture, Traffitizer aims to revolutionise traffic management system in major cities of the country. The technology divides a road network into different zones which help the system identify every vehicle’s activity when it’s in that zone. The technology will be able to monitor the vehicle activities in the danger zones and immediately dispatch emergency vehicles.
The hardware-software setup can be installed at any traffic junction and the system works on Emergency Response System (T-ERS) is a Centralised Internet of Things (IoT) based system with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
All that an ambulance driver needs to do is, switch on the emergency trip on their T-ERS unit installed in their vehicle. The clear green signal will automatically display from the traffic junction to give a go ahead for a pre-defined zone.
One of the salient features of T-ERS is that it can also be remotely controlled from traffic control rooms.

“This project has a direct impact on humanity. This will solve one of the major issues faced in the ambulance vehicle patient transportation system in different developing countries,” said Fr Jose Alex CMI, the director of RSET.
