The Northern and Western parts of the country are facing a tough time this summer especially, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh.
In some parts of Rajasthan, the temperature of 48 degrees Celsius was recorded on Thursday, and in a few areas, 47 degrees was the temperature.
According to the Met department, strong heat waves are expected to prevail till May 27 in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh that could result in hampering the holiday season on the hill stations.
Lower hills of Himachal Pradesh expected to fall prey to the heat wave include Sundernagar, Nahan, Bhuntar, Palampur, Dharamshala, Shimla, and Manali.
