‘I am trying to be both a mother and a father to my children’, says Boney Kapoor

Date:

It has been over 3 months since the Indian film industry lost one of its most precious jewels. Sridevi, who passed away on February 24, still continues to be fondly remembered by fans and well-wishers across the country.

As Sridevi’s family continues to deal with an unfathomable loss, her husband Boney Kapoor recently opened up about life after Sridevi’s untimely passing.

In an interview to Masala.com Boney Kapoor said, “I am trying to be both a mother and a father to my children. She was suddenly gone. These past months have been very difficult. Everything went on a freeze-pause in our lives.
There were so many things left unsaid and undone. Now I am finally picking up the pieces again trying to put my life together for my children’s sake. There were things that were put on pause. I am trying to resume my life. I am yet to come to terms with the fact that she’s gone forever.”

Sridevi’s untimely death on February 24 sent shock waves across the country. The actress passed away as a result of accidental drowning after she fell unconscious in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai. Her last rites were performed in Mumbai on February 28.

After the actress was felicitated posthumously with the National Award for best actress for her performance in the film ‘Mom’, Sridevi received a special salute for her contribution to cinema at the 71st Cannes Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor is planning to make a documentary Sridevi. According to reports, the filmmaker has already registered three movie titles called ‘Sri’, ‘Sridevi’ and ‘Sri Ma’am’. Boney Kapoor registered these titles with the movie registration department of one of the producer associations of Bollywood.

Reports further state that Boney is also keen to acquire other films that Sridevi has worked in and has registered the titles of those films too. According to reports, the filmmaker has already register titles like ‘Chaalbaaz’, ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’, ‘Jaanbaaz’, ‘Mr India’ and even titles like ‘Return of Mr India’. Speculations are rife that these names are only a few of the 20 odd titles being registered by Boney Kapoor.
