Soon London will be just two hours away from New York

Date:

Finally, Boeing plans to bring back supersonic travel like never before after the longest span of fifteen years.

The launch of Boeing’s Hypersonic aircraft was revealed by the manufacturer at an aviation conference held in Atlanta. He disclosed the first design of the jet and said that the vehicle would cross the Atlantic Ocean and two and the Pacific Ocean in three hours and that the travel time between New York and London would be just two hours.

The jet is faster than the supersonic one. The flying speed of the Hypersonic jet is Mach 5 as compared to Supersonic which is Mach 1. According to Boeing, airlines will now be able to operate and reduce the time to same day with the return.

The aircraft will take two hours to reach London and New York and three hours between Los Angeles and Tokyo, drastically reducing the time by one-fourth. At present, it takes seven hours between New York and London and eleven hours between Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Although the plan of this aircraft is far-fetched, once ready, it can be used for military or commercial purposes. The expected duration for the launch of the Boeing Hypersonic Jet is 2030 to 2040.
