Heavy rains lash Mumbai, life thrown out of gear

Heavy rains across Mumbai city and adjoining areas continue affecting normal life as the region saw another heavy downpour today.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that, “Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur in Mumbai, Raigad, Thane and Palghar today.”

Water-logging has been reported at several places including Sion police station leading to adverse traffic condition.

The BEST buses in Mumbai have either diverted or curtailed their services due to water logging in some areas. According to the IMD, suburbs are expected to witness more rainfall as compared to the city this time.
