Sensex ends flat at 36,265.93; Nifty at 10,948.30

The 30-share benchmark index Sensex and the broader Nifty50 ended flat on Wednesday. Sensex rose 26.31 points or 0.07% to end at 36,265.93 and the Nifty up 1.00 points or 0.01% at 10948.30.

TCS, Bajaj Auto, and Bharti Infratel were the top gainers, while Coal India, Vedanta, and UPL lost the most. The markets opened weak after the US released a list of Chinese imports worth $200 billion, which could potentially invite tariffs by September.
