Miyon ka Bara turns into Mahesh Nagar after three villages renamed in Rajasthan

On Thursday, three villages in Rajasthan- Ismail Khurd, Miyon ka Bara and Narpada are renamed to Pichanwa Khurd, Mahesh Nagar and Narpura respectively, officials said. The decision to change the names was taken by the Home Ministry follwoing a separate proposal by the Rajasthan Government.

The names were changed after the Home Ministry recieved no objections from the Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts and Survey of India which conveyed that no railway station, no post office and no village exist with the new names.

A similar incident happened in Uttar Pradesh where Mughalsarai railway station was changed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay junction.
