Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific on Wednesday had to send its new plane back to the paint shop after the company’s name was spelt incorrectly on it.
According to reports, travellers spotted the mistake “Cathay Paciic” on the side of the jet at the Hong Kong International Airport and contacted the airline.
Taking it to Twitter, Cathay Pacific company joked about the mistake and posted pictures along with a caption “Oops this special livery won’t last long! She’s going back to the shop!”

An engineer of a sister company of the airline said “The spacing is too on-point for a mishap,” reports the South China Morning Post.
Twitter users, however, chose to see the funny side. A user tweeted “No f’s were given that day.” While another user made a meme out of it which reads “Welcome to the new Cathay where we give no ‘F’.”
