Czech automaker Skoda has released new design sketches of the upcoming Kodiaq RS prior to the SUV’s official debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show in October this year. It is estimated to be priced at around the 40 lakh mark if launched in India.
The new Skoda Kodiaq RS is the first to join the company’s vRS family, which basically is Skoda’s sportiest models segment. The company has released two design sketches of its upcoming high-performance SUV which show the profiling of the car significantly sporty and aggressive.
The Kodiaq RS or vRS speaks through its design with elegant lines, sporty contours and the typical robust stance of an SUV. The design sketches give out an evident teaser of the large and sporty alloy wheels that will be used in the SUV and the 3D-effect radiator grille adds to the sporty design of the Kodiaq vRS.

The Kodiaq vRS is the first SUV from the Volkswagen owned carmaker to get the all-new metallic Race Blue finish, along with glossy black shade for the roof rails, window frames and wing mirrors.
The Kodiaq vRS sports anthracite-coloured 20-inch Xtreme alloy wheels, with 17-inch brake discs gripped by bright red brake callipers. New bumpers have also been developed exclusively for the new SUV as stated by Skoda and have been accentuated by a crystalline-look, full-LED headlights that come as standard. The exhaust system has been taken a notch up with two striking tailpipes that are clearly visible below the rear bumper.
The heart of the new Skoda Kodiaq vRS is blessed to be the most powerful production diesel engine manufactured by the Czech brand. The new 2.0 BiTDI engine is tuned to produce 236 bhp and develops a peak torque of around 500 Nm of peak torque.
The Kodiaq will debut the new RS logo which comes with a red ‘v’ as against the green ones that are currently used.
