When a cab driver was asked by a leading national daily, he said, ““We are facing major payment issues. Who shall we approach? We have no option other than protesting.”

The entire protest began when a group of drivers, on Monday, discussed the issue at the company’s Salt Lake office. However, they were asked to leave the office with the police escorting them out, after which they went on a two-day strike. Although, the strike was withdrawn, some of the drivers continued to protest and stay off the roads.
