Dipika Kakar wins Bigg Boss Season 12; bags Rs. 30 lakh prize money

Dipika Kakar bagged the trophy of Bigg Boss Season 12 on December 30 and Sreesanth became the second runner-up. The actress who was seen in a lead role of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ won a prize money of Rs. 30 lakh along with the trophy.

Colors TV, the broadcast channel for Bigg Boss also tweeted the winner’s name on its handle.

Among the other finalists, Deepak Thakur took a money packet of Rs. 20 lakh and quit the show. It seems that Dipika’s wishes finally came true of turning off the lights of the house and exiting the show in the end with Sreesanth.

Before the announcement of the winner, there were some entertaining performances as well, of which, Dipika and Sreesanth’s left the audience captivated till the end. They gave a performance showing their good and bad moments of the Bigg Boss house on the popular Bollywood track from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and ended with Tu Jo Mila from Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Deepak and Somi also sizzled the stage with Deepak singing O Re Piya Re. Karanvir, Romil and Sreesanth performed on the song Khalibali from Padmaavat.

Among all the contestants, Karanvir Bohra was the first to be eliminated followed by Romil Chaudhary. The last three finalists, Dipika, Sreesanth and Deepak were given a choice to take the money bag or the trophy. Deepika Thakur chose the Rs. 20 lakh money over the trophy and was appreciated by Salman Khan for the decision as he had received the lowest votes in comparison to Sreesanth and Dipika. This amount has been the biggest exit money across all the seasons of Bigg Boss so far.
