The belief has strengthened since the time that former CM of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat visited the temple after Presidential rule was imposed on Uttarakhand. But after the visit, the Presidential rule was declared unconstitutional.

It is also a huge part of the culture of Uttarakhand to visit and pray to the holy deity before undertaking any major tasks. The belief of people in Uttarakhand is strong that ‘Golu Devta’ delivers justice and helps people, hence even politicians seek blessings during crucial times.
