FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile checked the claim, we found out the some of the information is not true.

IAS officer Armstrong Pame popularly known as Manipur’s ‘Miracle Man’ built a 100-kilometre road connecting Manipur to Nagaland and Assam through community initiative.

The project began in 2012, with him and his family pooling in over Rs 4 lakh. But that was not enough, so he made a Facebook page asking people to chip in. After starting the page, he received international fundings also. The community-built Tamenglong-Haflong road was completed in 2013.

For his efforts, he was conferred with India’s Most Eminent IAS Officer Award in 2015.

This proves that the information that the road was built by “his” money is not true.
