Two UP girls score 499/500 in CBSE class XII exam

Two girls are the joint toppers of the CBSE Class 12 examination scoring 499/500 marks. Hansika Shukla from Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from from Muzaffarnagar topped the exam this year with 499 marks each. A total of 94,299 students secured 90 per cent marks in Class 12 examination.

Three students share the second rank with a score of 498 out of 500: Gaurangi Chawala from Rishikesh, Aishwarya from Raebareli and Bhavya from Haryana’s Jind.

Neeraj Jindal and Mehak Talwar from Delhi are among 18 students to rank third in the exam.

Results class Class XII exams which began on February 16 were declared today. Around 13 lakh students appeared for the mega exam. Girls have outperformed boys this year too with three girs students clinching the second rank as well. The pass percentage this year is 83.4%. Pass percentage for girls is 88.7% for boys it is at 79.4%.
The region with the highest pass percentage is Thiruvananthapuram (98.2%0, followed by Chennai (92.9%) and Delhi (91.8%)

The results were announced within 28 days of the last date of the examination. They are usually declared in the third week of May.

Step 1: Visit the official website- cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the download result link
Step 3: Enter registration number, roll number
Step 4: Results will appear on the screen
Step 5: Download it, and take a print out for further reference.

This initiative is part of a three year-long collaboration, where Microsoft has been partnering with CBSE to display results on bing.com and last year, the company also introduced the CBSE results card into SMS Organizer app as an easy way to get results delivered on to the phone.
