Fact Checked: Find the truth about this Amul Ad

Date:

Election fever is high all across the country since we’re just one day away from the 2019 Lok Sabha Election results, along with the election fever, the fake news factories are also going full throttle.

A post can be seen circulating on social media in which it can be seen that Amul is taking a dig at the Congress party and calling the Gandhi family corrupt in a subtle manner.

A billboard can be seen on which Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi can be seen and the text reads- ” नाना ने खाया, दादी ने खाया, पापा ने खाया, मम्मी ने खाया, आओ बहना तुम भी खा लो, जीजू को भी यहाँ बुला लो”

(Translation- Grandfather ate, grandmother ate, father ate, mother ate, come, sister, you also eat, call brother-in-law as well)

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile team did a fact-check on the above picture, we found that the photo is photoshopped.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across the original picture of the outdoor advertising hoarding, which proves that the picture is digitally manipulated.

When we dug further, we found a tweet on the official Twitter handle of Amul, which was posted on January 24th, 2019, when they released a cartoon on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s formal entry into politics.

Hence, it proves that the picture is FAKE.
