British Prime Minister Theresa May announces resignation

Date:

UK Prime Minister Theresa May, on Friday, announced her resignation. In a speech at Downing Street, England, she announced that she will step down as Conservative Party leader on 7 June.

She broke down as she said that serving as Britain’s second female prime minister was ‘the honour of my life’.
