No! These women were not spotted at Rajiv Chowk metro station

Date:

Soon after Arvind Kejriwal made the announcement that metro and bus travel will be free for women in Delhi, a photo surfaced on the internet in which four men can be seen dressed as women.

The caption of the picture read: “Just saw these girls at Rajiv chowk metro station in Delhi after Kejriwal made Metro travel free for ladies!🤗”

FACT CHECK

When the fact-checking team at NewsMobile did a fact check, we found that the claim is FAKE.

When we did a Reverse Image Search, we found an article on Rediff dated October 21, 2008. In the article, it is clearly mentioned that the picture is a still from the movie ‘Golmaal Returns’, in which Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade dressed up as women for a scene in the movie.

The above information proves that the picture is not from Rajiv Chowk Metro Station.
