New Delhi: IFS officer Sanjeev Singla has been appointed as India’s Ambassador to Israel.
1997 batch IFS officer who is currently the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Singla is known as a quiet performer and is known for his deft handling of strategic issues.

Singla was earlier posted in the Tel Aviv embassy before he served Prime Minister. He will replace 1990 batch IFS officer Pavan Kapoor.
