Ex-Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit cremated with state honours

New Delhi: The three-time Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, who passed away on Saturday afternoon after a prolonged illness, was laid to rest on Sunday with full state honours at Nigambodh Ghat.

The senior Congress leader died at the age of 81 on Saturday at 3:55 pm when she took her last breath at Fortis Escorts Hospital.

She was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Delhi till date, she was the chief minister of Delhi from 1998 to 2013.

PM Modi, Rajnath Singh, Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and other top leaders paid their respects to Sheila Dikshit at her residence on Saturday.
