A post containing a notice under the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surfaced on the internet.

The notice read: ”मेरे प्यारे भारत वासियों आप सब इस बार इतना करे की आने वाले दीवाली पर्व पर अपने घरों में रौशनी सजावट मिठाई इन सब में केवल भारत में बनी सामग्री का प्रयोग करे। आशा करता हूं आप इस प्रधान सेवक की बात को ज़रूर मानेंगे आप छोटे-छोटे कदमों से अगर मेरा साथ दो तो मै आप से वादा करता हूं हमारे भारत को दुनिया की सबसे आगे वाली पंक्ति में प्रथम स्थान पर खड़ा पाओगे।”

Translation: ”My dear Indians, all of you should do so much this time that on the coming Diwali festival, you should use only the ingredients made in India, in your homes, to decorate the sweets in your homes. I hope you will accept the talk of this chief servant, if you join me with small steps, I promise you that you will find our India standing first in the front row of the world.”

We then put the exact statement through a Google search and found no article/report on the internet.

Hence, the above information proves that PM Modi did not tweet/post what has been attributed to him.
